The Food Future forum held last November in Perth was a great success thanks to the engagement of those who attended. The feedback from the day has been very positive confirming the event as a step in the right direction. Many of those who attended have indicated their ongoing commitment to a secure food future, making pledges to continue their current work in this space, stay connected to their regional bodies and improve their management practices to engage.

There was a lot of information to take away from the forum that clarified for many the need to actively be part of a Food Future initiative in WA. All the presentations were recorded and can be viewed on our YouTube channel or by clicking in the links below.

The forum gave us the opportunity to launch the Food Future initiative and with cross government, industry, university and community group support, and since the forum we have initiated a multi stakeholder platform to drive pragmatic review and collective planning for our Food Future.

The Food Future network/collaboration group, which has tiered representation from all stakeholder groups will meet regularly to continue to push the common goal through multi-stakeholder and information platforms.

Perth NRM will take the lead in the initiative with State and local government, industry, university, community groups and NRM partners in the state.
